Tony winner Brían F. O’Byrne and Michelle Gomez will join previously announced star Jake Gyllenhaal in Nick Payne’s comic drama If There Is I Haven’t Found It Yet. If There Is I Haven’t Found It Yet is the story of 15-year-old Anna, a natural target for bullies because of her weight. Her mom transfers Anna to the school where she teaches in order to protect her daughter, but the move only makes things worse. When Anna gets suspended for retaliating with a head-butt, her estranged uncle Terry (Gyllenhaal) arrives unannounced. A heartbroken drifter with the mouth of a sailor, Terry reaches out to Anna in a way no one ever has. Their unexpected friendship sends her parents' rocky marriage into a tailspin as the whole family wonders what—or who—really needs saving?
O’Byrne won a Tony Award in 2004 for Frozen and received additional nominations for Doubt, The Beauty Queen of Leenane, The Lonesome West and The Coast of Utopia. He was nominated for an Emmy Award for HBO’s Mildred Pierce. Gomez’s U.K. stage credits include Boeing-Boeing and The Taming of the Shrew. She is known to TV audiences in the U.K. for her work on Green Wig, Feel the Force and The Book Group.
The production will include set design by Beowulf Boritt, lighting design by Natasha Katz, costume design by Susan Hilferty and original music and sound design by Obadiah Eaves.
